An Excerpt from Space Operas
PITCH:
When two scifi TV shows (a Battlestar Galactica copy and a Star Trek clone) are 'traded' between TV networks with completely different production styles, hilarity ensues. The low-brow bawdy humor never stops as this movie parodies television in every aspect possible. Think Airplane! meets Network, with heavy sprinkles of Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica.
(I want to use every kind of funny gag in the same style as Airplane -- except maybe with some Animal House, some Mel Brooks, some Cheech & Chong, & some abstract expressionism?
So far, the Battlestar Galactica rip-off is called "Flatu-Star Crappica", a b-movie style gross-out toilet humor extravaganza!!! Imagine a space ship full of people suffering from chronic explosive diarhea and unpredictable sharting because their food synthesizers never work correctly, being chased by their uprising robot slaves, the "Nylons" (a bunch of shop mannequins animated in stop-motion with some funny fx and moving red-lights).
This is the 'low class' TV show which goes to the indie-network, where hippies & "screw the man" types work with tons of talent and next-to-no budget to make artwork with heart.
The Star Trek clone is "Stellar Groove", a racial exploitation future military show with dance party scenes and steamy X-rated sex scenes. This ridiculous parody features sexy chest-hair and medalion disco-Heeb Capt. Jew-ames T Kirkowitz, the cold yiddish alien Science Officer Schplock, a drunken Irish Doctor "Boner" McToy, constipated Scottish chubster Scotchy the Engineer, beautiful black bodacious Communications Officer Ummumma, Checkon the young Russian science genius, and FooLoo the Korean martial artist pilot with Bruce Lee pants.
The course of every show goes from soap opera tension to Soul Train style space disco parties to explicit alien sex orgies.
This 'high class' parody-scifi TV show goes to the MS-TV (Mainstream-TV) Network, where the corp execs fuck everyone over, the heart of the show is removed and replaced with marketing research and surveys, the Directors are whipping boys to the producers, and everyone is over-paid.
I don't have anything for plot yet. Looking at a bunch of atrociously preposterous names for main characters:
Puke SkySharter, Dark Butt-Invader, Jew-Ames T Kirkowitz, Schplock, Commander Enema, Colonel Tie-One-On, Nylon '69', and more...
